FRUA Chat Guide Lines

 

Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption is pleased to provide this chat room service to it's members and any one else interested in adoption and adoption related issues.

The purpose of this chat room is related to the adoption and raising of children from Eastern Europe countries, loosely defined as Russia, Ukraine, and neighboring countries.:
Use this area to
  • Ask and answer questions,
  • Post experiences,
  • Get feedback,
  • Make suggestions,
  • Discuss matters of interest to you and others.

Visitors are asked to follow these guidelines:

1. Please refrain from :

  • Foul language
  • Abusive or insulting messages are absolutely not allowed. All participants, and their opinions, must be treated with respect.
  • The use of foul language in non-insulting or non-abusive postings will not be allowed.
  • Attacks on individual people or organizations
  • Verbally attacking people or organizations because of their religious believes, race, reasons for adopting, choice of country to adopt from, or opinions will not be allowed.
  • Advertising or solicitations
    (if you would like to post a solicitation, then feel free to contact board@frua.org for approval)
  • Encouraging participants to support other organizations or visit their web sites
    (Recommendations from individuals who are not employees, owners, board members, participating members, or principals of the organization are allowed when in response to questions asked)
  • Advertising non FRUA fundraisers
    (if you would like to post a fundraiser, then feel free to contact board@frua.org for approval)
  • Meetings designed to solicit new clients or business for adoption agencies or other businesses
  • Advertising events, activities and groups that compete with FRUA activities
  • Advertising children available for adoption
    (This will not be allowed under any circumstances.)
  • Posts that are off topic
    (Refer to the opening paragraphs to this document.)

2. All messages should include the author's name and email address. We do respect peoples rights to anonymity, but stating your name and/or email address adds credibility to what you have to say.  If you need to preserve anonymity one of the FRUA board members will be glad to assist you.  Just send an email to board@frua.org.

3. The "Subject" line should reflect the content of the message. If you change the subject of a thread, start it as a new subject not a reply.

4. Do not be offended by what others may post. Most of the time the person did not intend to be offensive. However, do feel free to directly email the poster to get clarification, but please don't air it out to the whole list.

Come in, sit down and relax. We are here for your support and input. Feel free to express yourself but please refrain from bickering.
