Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption, Including Neighboring Countries,
announces new regional chapter structure.
Washington D.C...March 17, 2014...This week the National Board of Directors of Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption, Including Neighboring Countries, (FRUA INC) announces a new organizational chapter structure. FRUA is moving from historically uneven, metro-localized, chapter coverage to ten regions. These ten regional chapters will now cover all members, in all fifty states, with the community of a chapter affiliation. “Ten Regions place every member within both the national and a regional community,” said Jan Wondra, Chair of the FRUA National Board of Dirctors. “This community approach assures that every FRUA member family now has an opportunity to access chapter energy and relationships helping family be successful, no matter where you live.”
While the chapter board covers a multi-state region, within that structure can fall any number of Parent Organized Districts (or FRUA PODs) linked to metropolitan areas, or portions of states. This will allow for local events and activities, but without the need to formalize a board structure, or maintain a local treasury. Follow this link for the breakout of states by region and thecontacts for the ten regional chapters: frua.org/community/chapter-contacts.
In conjunction with this move, FRUA is making a major database upgrade, moving to a system that will make joining and renewing easier, and help regional leaders be able to communicate more effectively.
