FRUA INC offers families hope, help and community by providing connection, education, resources, and advocacy, and works to improve the lives of orphaned children.
FRUA's goals are to:
We are an all-volunteer, international 501(c)(3) parent support organization with chapters across the US and members around the world. Our families have typically adopted children from one of the 32 post-Soviet countries we primarily serve. Others have adopted from different countries yet find commonalities and valuable support in their experience and questions.
We continue to serve members at all stages of adoption - from families exploring adoption options to families with young adult adoptees who have been home for decades. Like any group of families, our children range in talents and abilities.
FRUA's goals are to:
- Improve the lives of children
- Strengthen families
- Share the culture and heritage of our children
- Provide peer group support for our children
- Provide peer group support for parents
- Promote a reality-based perception of our children
