For Young Adults...
Navigating life's journey as a young adult adoptee can bring its own set of questions, perspectives, challenges, and search for identity.
FRUA Young Adults is a growing community of peers who share commonality in many life experiences. These may include adoption history, institutionalized early years, post-adoption medical or developmental challenges, continuing developmental questions, foreign birth country interest, birth parent and/or sibling search, self-identity, acceptance, integration, and many more.
FRUA supports its growing Young Adult Community with a number of resources, including an experienced adult mentor, its own moderated social media groups independent of parents, three annual Scholarships, and more. YA members spearhead FRUA's orphan support activities, which are geared towards giving back to orphans still awaiting forever families in their home countries. Some YA members grew up in families highly involved in FRUA activities, while others are new to FRUA. We welcome each member.
